The Nation’s Pride Initiative (TNPI) Advises President Mohammadu Buhari to Stay Focused in Solving the Economic Problem of Nigeria.

The Nation Pride Initiative (TNPI), has advised President Mohammadu Buhari on the need to concentrate on the persistence ethnic rivalry, socio-economic and political problems which has led to hardship and downturns in the country’s economy. This is to enable him device means in solving the dwindling problems that is surmounting the country.




According to the organization, President Buhari should focus attention on solving economic challenges, rather than giving listening ears to miscreants and crime perpetrators whose major interest is to sabotage the efforts of his administration. Citing that the problems of corruption, crime and terrorism, unemployment, infrastructural decay, gender inequality, election-rigging, and environmental and public health issues etcetera have caused more harm than good and requires immediate attention.
Also, setting the country in pace does not end in unveiling economic plans and policy direction, rather implementation of these robust plans and policies and taking a step further  and explore means to get the economy going should be the major aim of President Buhari.
As an organization that fights corruption, The Nation’s Pride Initiative (TNPI) stressed on the need to accommodate accurate accountability in all government agencies that are critical to revenue generation. This will ensure that corruption which pervades these agencies is curbed and every kobo that is generated is adequately accounted for.

However, this advice is in tandem with President Buhari’s speech at the inauguration of the National Economic Council (NEC) in which he said that his administration is fully committed to embarking on sustainable visionary initiatives and programs that will restructure and transform the nation’s economy.
The Nation’s Pride Initiative also advised President Buhari needs to be offered some solutions to the current economic crisis that threatens to ground the country.Amidst diversion of the attention of the President by perpetrators and enemies of the country, The Nations Pride Initiatives (TNPI) calls for constituting modern economic team in line with global economic trends that will work towards improving all the economic measures and indices of the country. Unemployment rate should be reduced to less than 10 per cent. The rate of poverty should be brought down from 70 percent to at least 30 per cent. This is actually achievable provided the president has robust economic team who will come up with interventions and initiatives with the ultimate goal of improving our economic indices and by extension provide a new lease of life for the Nigerian people.

In conclusion, The Nation’s Pride Initiative (TNPI) strongly believed that Nigeria can recover from the current economic crisis if President Buhari diversifies the economy and repair the refineries so that the impact of the drop in crude oil prices which is presently having a toll on the economy will be cushioned. It is up to the President to act and respond appropriately.
