Jubilation as Pasolo restores light in Abajah Community

There were jubilation in Ekpe isu, Umuoma and umuozuo villages in Abajah autonomous community in Nwangele local government following the restoration of their electricity, courtesy of Mr. Solomon Ucheka also known as Pasolo.


The three villages according sources, have been without electricity, until recently the founder of Pasolo Foundation, Mr. Ucheka donated a 300KVA/0415KV transformer which was commissioned last week by officials of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC).

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, the Fida Manager Amarako/Amaimo division, Engr. Gabriel Ndukuba who commended Mr. Ucheka for the philanthropic gesture, urged members of the communities to guide the transformer jealously reminding them of the duration they stayed without electricity, if not for the intervention of their son, Mr. Ucheka.
Speaking to newsmen, a member of electricity committee in one of the communities, Mr. Nnamdi Ekwebelam, said “Pasolo has done it again, after eight years of blackout in my community Abajah. He remembered his people and said no to total darkness and suffering and decided to put smile on us. There’s light in my community now, everywhere is shining like never before, Kudos to a great philanthropist. I call him the people general. God will continue to bless him, protect him in his going out and coming back as well help him to actualize his dreams in bettering the lives of our people”.


When contacted, Mr. Ucheka who is the leading aspirant of Nwangele State Assembly seat congratulated the three villages for their encouragement and prayers.

He added, “we also thank those who criticized the project, your criticism was turned into motivation and encouragement, which helped us stand firm during the hard times of this project and we pray that God will bless you as you motivate us through your criticisms.

Pasolo further urged them to make good use of the electricity which he said is the greatest tool of economic growth and development in every nation.

“we want to encourage our youth and parents to please make good use of this opportunity and create valuable source of income for yourselves. It will be great to see more shops and business established within these communities”, he further added.

Recall that Mr. Ucheka the founder of Pasolo Foundation, has through his foundation empowered many youths across communities in Nwangele Local Government Area and he is notable for his philanthropic gestures.
